Orangutan DVD

The orangutan DVD contains two films including the exceptionally beautiful "Tears of Wood" and "Orangutan the Forest Ape."

"Tears of Wood" consists of beautiful video images with no narration that, nonetheless, tells the dramatic story of wild orangutan populations facing extinction. It is an exceptionally exquisite film that leaves no one untouched. "Orangutan the Forest Ape" is more on the conventional documentary side and provides more detail. The two films form an interesting contrast in the way they handle the same material.
