  As a 501(c)3 charity, OFI depends almost entirely on your donations – every little bit counts. There are many ways to donate to our foundation: become a member, adopt an orphan orangutan, give money to our forest purchase or tree planting programs, donate appreciated stocks, or shop at our online merchandise store.   Rehabilitation is a long and expensive process. By fostering an orphan orangutan you will ensure that they get a chance to return to the wild.

  Visiting us in Borneo

  Join our exclusive 7-day tour with Dr. Biruté Mary Galdikas. Your journey will take you deep into Tanjung Puting National Park to see wild and rehabilitated orangutans, with Dr. Galdikas as your personal naturalist and storyteller. You will also get the unique opportunity to visit the OFI Care Center and Quarantine where you will meet orphan orangutans in the care of OFI.

When you purchase merchandise from our store, a portion of your payment is donated directly to OFI. Not only that, but using and wearing OFI merchandise will help to spread awareness about OFI and the struggle to save wild orangutans and their rainforest habitat.
