Born (estimated) 1993 – Died January 11th, 2011 Hangki was a beautiful and extraordinary orangutan. Her calm and gentle demeanor and her soft voice captured the hearts and minds of many people and made her much loved among the OCCQ staff and volunteers. Hangki was paralyzed from the waist down. Kiki’s face was one of the first ones to greet visitors to OFI’s Orangutan Care Centre and Quarantine (OCCQ). She hung out on the cool front porch of the main building, in her customary belly-down sprawl. Kiki first arrived in the OCCQ on June 6, 1999, a two year old infant.
